Moscow Radio

Coming to you straight from Toronto, Ontario, Moscow Radio will fulfill your ear drums with the perfect summer music that you can listen to on repeat (literally). With the deep lyrics and the pop/punk melodic value presented to you, it won't disappoint, part of the reason as to why we chose to showcase Moscow Radio on our blog! So read below and enjoy this week's interview!

S: If you were to trade instruments with anyone in the band, would you? And if so, who would you trade with and why?

MR: I would never trade away instruments...after playing guitar so long, I have lost interest in anything but a mic and six strings.

S: If you were to add another musician to your band, who would you add and what instrument would you get them to play?

MR: I would get the singer of an old band I was in to sing and play guitar in my band...beatles style haha, it would be so cool to have two singers, no one does it anymore. His name is evan, you can hear him at www.myspace.com/portrait we are worlds apart now musically but you asked so i answered!

I don't believe humans have the right to take life. We didn't make it, we have no right to end it.

S: If you were to make yourselves on The Sims, would your character emulate yourself or would you make them look completely different?

MR: I don't play the sims, sorry. If I was a call of duty player, I'd be a sniper so I could hide in the grass and not have to shoot anybody, not because I'm a coward, but because I don't believe humans have the right to take life. We didn't make it, we have no right to end it.

S: If there were one place in the world where you would want to play a show, where would it be and why?

MR: I would love to play wembley stadium in the UK. The history attatched to it is the sole reason.

You can learn life changing things from answering a message that takes you two minutes to type.

S: If you weren't to be a musician, what other career would you have pursued?

MR: I can't answer that, because again after doing this so long anything else is repulsive to me.

S: What is your personal favourite genre of music?

MR: Definitely rock and roll. I think it's more of a lifestyle/culture choice...growing up around it, it becomes a part of you, and it identifies you.

S: What's a song that you have on your mp3 player that no one would expect you to have?

MR: A Whole New World from the Aladdin soundtrack. Incredible songwriting performed by fabulous vocalists.

S: What's the best thing about being an artist that is yet to be discovered?

MR: The people you have time to talk to. You can learn life changing things from answering a message that takes you two minutes to type.

S: If you got signed to a major label and toured, would you still pack your own equipment or hire roadies to do it for you?

MR: Roadies, but I'd pay them well and always be hanging out with them haha. It's great to have friends on the road....I would carry it myself but I threw my back out in an accident a few years ago. Even after a long set my back hurts....I guess because my strat is custom and weighs over 10 pounds haha. It's a lot when it's on your left shoulder for 40 minutes. Don't talk shit until you do it every night. The pain adds up and comes out all at once.

S: What were your first experiences with a groupie?

MR: No comment. hahaha

You can check out some of their tunes via the MySpace link above and don't forget to tell them who sent you!
